Biography
Abhispa Sahu has a Ph.D. in Nanoscale Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC, USA. Prior to that, she got her Bachelor's and Master's dual degree in Nanotechnology from Amity University, India. Currently, she is a senior research scientist working at American Nano, LLC, NC where her work focuses on design and application of novel nanomaterials for industrial applications.
She has published 7 first author scientific manuscripts including 6 journal articles/review, and 1 book chapter on nanotechnology-based water treatment and drug delivery applications. She has peer reviewed #108 manuscripts in #13 high impact factor chemistry and nanotechnology journals and served in the editorial board of 3 nanotechnology journals. She has been recognized as one of the outstanding peer reviewers for RSC Advances journal for 2022.
Dr. Sahu has been an article featured about my research in India’s largest English language newspaper, The Times of India along with a few regional Indian newspaper/outlets. She has presented at 18 national and international scientific conferences and symposiums. She co-owns 5 US based, and international patents pending for 3 of my inventions.
A North Carolina based company has evinced interest in commercializing and licensing her invention by paying for International European patent cost. She has been the research lead of a student-based US Government grant funding (US EPA P3) as the co-investigator with a grant funding of $25,000 for Phase I.
