Biography
Graduated in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1990), master's degree in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1993), specialization in Environmental Management and Environmental Technologies in Industry from the Federal University of Bahia (1998) and PhD in Extractive Metallurgy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2004).
Professor of the Mining Engineering course at the Federal University of Bahia between 1994 and 2006. Since 2006 has been a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Experience in the area of Mining Engineering and the environment, with an emphasis on mineral processing and treatment solid waste and effluent treatment.
He works mainly on the following topics: recycling, construction waste, emerging pollutants, mineral characterization, flotation, metallic minerals, coal and industrial minerals, recovery of degraded areas in mining and the environment.
